LDPE Mixed  Colour Film Scrap

Polyethylene (PE plastic), film grade, widely recyclable and one of the most common plastics in use today. Used for packaging (plastic bags, plastic films)

Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is a type of polyethylene withe a density between 0.91 and 0.94 g/cm3. LDPE is used for both rigid containers and plastic film applications such as plastic bags and film wrap.

LDPE has more branching (on about 2% of the carbon atoms) than HDPE, so its intermolecular forces (instantaneous-dipole induced-dipole attraction) are weaker, its tensile strength is lower, and its resilience is higher. The side branches mean that its molecules are less tightly packed and less crystalline, and therefore its density is lower.
